Stagelight Guidelines

Contest does not accept work previously published or having received awards in other competitions.

• Entries must be postmarked by August 31, 2010.
• One act plays only.
• Open to writers 18 years old and older.
• No restrictions on subject matter.
• The play must be unpublished and never produced except for informal readings.
• Submit two copies of the manuscript in standard theater script format.
• A cover page with title, playwright's name, address, telephone and email, must be the first page of entry. The author's name must not appear anywhere else on the manuscript.
• A one-page summary of the play without identifying author's information must accompany each entry.

Entry fee: $10 TWA members, $15 non-members
Awards: Entries will be judged by theatre professionals. The first place winner will receive a prize of $75; second place, $35. Winners will be announced by the year’s end.
